Shurna DeCou is a staff writer for Unum Group specializing in healthcare. Previously, she was a correspondent in the Cayman Islands for 10 years. Her work has appeared in Reuters, The New York Times, The Sunday Times, The Miami Herald and BBC. Shurna was also the pool journalist and photographer for the Cayman Islands athletes competing in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She has also taught journalism at the International College of the Cayman Islands.
