MC’s professional career has been split equally between journalism and media relations/PR. Fresh with a degree in journalism, she started at The Knoxville Journal, before transitioning to The Chattanooga Times where she was assistant manager editor at the time of the paper’s merger with the Chattanooga Free Press. In recent years, she dealt with journalists from the other side of the fence and worked to help their readers understand the importance of workplace benefits.

Off the clock, MC alternates between binge-watching, reading, hiking or tackling a never-ending to-do list at home.
