Cary Olson Cartwright
Cary Olson Cartwright has been with Unum for 17 years. She is the assistant vice president of Corporate Social Responsibility for Unum and Colonial Life and has responsibility for the company’s philanthropic efforts. She serves on several boards in Maine and Tennessee that focus on supporting youth and education, women’s leadership, and equity in education. Currently, she is chair of the board of directors for the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute.
She has been recognized in Maine, and nationally, for her work in supporting educational opportunities for children, youth, and graduates. Cary’s honors include the Governor Ken Curtis Leadership Award from the Maine Development Foundation, the Weston L. Bonney Education Leadership Award by Educate Maine and honorary ‘Specialist’ from Jobs for America’s Graduates.
In Cary’s spare time, you can find her enjoying Moosehead Lake in Maine with her family and beating her son-in-law in Spinner. She has three grand-dogs who are great pals.
