Customer Operations employees recently joined forces to organize a food pantry, medical supplies, and clothing and jewelry in a thrift store for Mission Lexington, a new Colonial Life community partner.
“Our team loved volunteering for this organization, and we’re looking forward to going back,” said Olympia Tisdale, billing coordinator, Customer Operations. “I’m really grateful Colonial Life provides our team and all employees these kinds of opportunities.” Olympia worked with Alana Stroker, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, to organize the volunteer event for her team.
Mission Lexington provides many different areas of crisis assistance within the Lexington community, including food, clothing, financial assistance, prescription medication vouchers, baby essentials, school supplies and fire recovery.
“Mission Lexington aligns nicely with our health and wellbeing pillar of giving, and their assistance reaches far beyond a food pantry,” Alana said. “One of the most impactful aspects of this organization is its mission and determination to serve as more than a “band-aid” during a crisis. They want to find connect individuals to resources in the community to help during a time of need.”
