Since 2002, Colonial Life has partnered with St. Andrews Middle School to improve the academic and life skills of its students through seven unique programming and outreach opportunities.
One of those opportunities is Story Tellers, a program where Colonial Life volunteers read to language arts and special education classes.
Matt Covington, a sales compensation design consultant at Colonial Life, is one of 13 Colonial Life employees who currently volunteers in this program.
The school is located next door to the Colonial Life headquarters in Columbia, S.C., which allows volunteers to visit the school during business hours.
