More than 150,000 children are treated each year at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital.
The state’s first freestanding Children’s Hospital offers family-centered patient rooms and playrooms. Family spaces make it easy for parents to stay close to their children throughout hospital stays and during outpatient treatments. A skilled team of pediatric professionals all located under one roof share one goal — to provide coordinated, compassionate care to South Carolina’s children and their families.
And Colonial Life wants to support that goal, and put its money where the miracles are.
On Feb. 8, Colonial Life Community Relations Manager Marie McGehee presented a check for $10,000 to Palmetto Health Foundation to support the children’s hospital during the annual B106.7 Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital Radiothon.
Since 2002, the Radiothon has raised money for the hospital. This year, the Radiothon brought in $110,312 in donations in two short days.
Colonial Life has partnered with the children’s hospital and the radio station by sponsoring the phone bank since 2013. Nearly 30 Colonial Life employees volunteered in shifts to take pledge calls and perform other tasks during the Radiothon this year.
