Laurie Mitchell took a slightly non-traditional career path for a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and has been leading comprehensive employer-sponsored population health and wellbeing strategy and for more than 22 years.

Her work focuses on actively engaging employees in their wellbeing through a mix of innovative programs, benefits, policies, and health-forward environmental approaches. Prior to joining Unum, Laurie held similar positions at MaineHealth-an integrated healthcare delivery system in Maine, Public Service Enterprise Group-an energy company in NJ and Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC. She also had a private nutrition practice in NYC.

When not focused on the wellbeing of others, Laurie leads an active lifestyle herself and enjoys traveling with her husband as much as time allows.
